Used the same strategy back in the 60s. I lived in Albany only a few blocks from the state capitol. Due to the Vietnam war there were large demonstrations held there quite often.

All you had to do was let them think you were seriously on their side and a bit crazy. Drop little hints about you and your buddies going to set a Army or Navy recruitment center on fire, or rig up a derail on the tracks that led to the military supply center a few miles away. That got their panties wet fast. I guess I was lucky as I never got a STD out of those crazy times.
