Acceleration is not for everyone.. I'm almost addicted to fast acceleration. Puts a smile on my face every time.

Two questions: Are there warm meals served at the dragstrip?
Do you take a 20 minute safety rest between runs?

Been fast before. Not trying to put you down but I agree with Lars, really doesn't look too exciting, Kind of like merging on a freeway,

Being in an 11 second car accelerating as fast as you can and a 9 second car is not comparable. If you have never accelerated that fast, you don't know what you are missing out on. When I raced my Vettes, I want from running 12's to running low 9's. The difference is gigantic on how it feels.

I get that you dig it and obviously there’s a whole industry that’s part of it. But going fast in a straight line is boring AF to me. And no I don’t have any desire to do it let alone watch it.
And as I posted, most of the excitement is the noise and exhaust flames and burnouts. And of course the wrecks just like nascrap.
None of that is happening in an EV drag car.

Just stop. I was avoiding this thread but you sitting here acting like nobody knows what they're talking about is stupid.

I've run in the 14s. I've run in the 11s. I've run in the 9s. Many times.

It's absolutely comparable.

Before the "you don't know" part comes again, I have experienced a launch and the acceleration of 1 of your Petunias (multiple times). I've also run in the 6s. I've gone 160+ into a braking zone (a few hundred times). I've gone in the 9s on a motorcycle. etc. etc. etc. Each subsequent step up may be cool initially, but after the first time or 2, in the absence of actual racing (and no, a test and tune is not racing) all of the above are boring after about the 2nd time.

FFS man. We get it. You like it. That's great. We're all happy that you have something you enjoy, but for the love of god, read the room and stop constantly trying to tell everybody how amazing your car is.

I'm sure Elon is paying him to troll his Tesla on as many forums as possible. Why do it otherwise?, unless there is some mental instabilty kicking in? mmmm...wait.

It doesn't feel different if it's an actual race or test&tune. If you don't enjoy fast acceleration, then don't do it. I enjoy acceleration and therefore I race frequently.

For what you have tied up in the Tesla you probably could have a daily driver and a dedicated race car.

Maybe your tiny little brain can't understand but there is no comparing the experience driving a gasoline fueled 9 second car with open headers and racing cam to a 9 second glorified golf cart that runs silent. If you think you're so smart lets see you do a 9 second pass on a motorcycle which I would bet money you can't because it requires actual skill and not just simply pressing a pedal.

How much do you get paid for displaying the Tesla referral code at the start of each video?

Race car needs a trailer and tow vehicle. A tow vehicle costs additional registrstion and insurance cost and sucks as a daily driver. Then If need a trailer and lots of time to wrench on the car as gas cars that are fast tend to break a lot.
I rather have all in one vehicle. Less vehicles to maintain and full warranty on expensive components to 150k miles. Zero warranty on a dedicated race car. I also don't have the time for a race car. I owned one and that was great while I was single without kids but doesn't work for my current situation. I want to go fast without having to load the car on the trailer, unload it, fix it if it breaks down etc. I follow seversl racers and virtually everyone in the 9's frequently need ti fix stuff on their car.

Maybe your tiny little brain doesn't know that I raced Vettes in the 9's, 10's and 11's with open pipes. While I love a good engine sound, my main fun when racing was always the acceleration. My '68 Race Vette was equally as loud as an 11 second car because I always ran open sidepipes.
Why mod the car to make it faster if sound is what matters? My 68 Vette was capable of 8's even though I never got to run the full 250 shot of nitrous. Best was 9.47 with a 100 shot. 434 small block

same sound as a 10 second car with the 406 naturally aspirsted

BTW, I used to own and race a race modified CBR600F with 150 HP when I was young.. Very light bike.. Super fast.

We were at the track today.

My 4 year old daughter knows the difference between practice and a race.
