We were going to a family gathering at my stepdaughter's house for the game. Yesterday I mad a huge pot of pulled pork chili to take there. So we got a call this morning from her and her husband has come down with the flu, so the party is off and I've got a lot of chili.

Right now we are trying to get in touch with everyone and have them come over to our house. Since all the idiot milienials don't answer their phones, I don't know yet if anybody is coming. Oh well, more chili for me, I suppose. I'll freeze whatever is left in individual serving sizes and have some great lunches in the coming weeks.

Texting is so much easier.
The phone comes in handy sometimes too, but I now prefer texting in many instances.

If you want to go out and do anything and not have it be crowded, during the Superbowl is a great time to do it. Good time to travel, too. I have a friend who is flying home to L.A. right now after visiting here for a week.

My wife's "new" phone (actually a flip phone--that's what she wanted ) is that type of keyboard.
I showed her a couple times how to receive and send texts but have pretty much given up. She's old school with the phone and only uses it to talk.
