Could have died from withdrawal. When a body becomes dependent on drugs to function the addict needs to be weaned off it slowly.

Doctors practice this with some prescription medicines. With some drugs they can't even do that, the patient must continue taking them for life.

Died in her sleep at 43 years old? Sounds like a malpractice case.

Yeah, people can build up some superhuman tolerances to drugs and it doesn't take long. Look at what Elvis was doing, it's crazy.

I doubt Rush quit cold turkey though. Probably done under the supervision of a doctor. It's also a matter of fortitude, females are relatively weak creatures to begin with.

Can't prove it by me. After 40 years of living with a bad back I'm fairly much desensitized to anything resembling pain. I don't even self-medicate since I have enough endorphins in me to kill an elephant
