I've cut driving down alot, pretty much work n back and store once a week.
They're talking up to 50 cent plus increase yet to come because of "summer blend" costs.

A friend of mine that I run THE ARMY's FCKUPS with is a trucker, too, and his fuel costs rose to the point where he had to raise his rates and is barely competitive now....even with the trucker shortage.

The last time gas went over 4/gal I was driving my furd f350 yatch.. I parked it and got a beater Escort. 8 to 10 mpg vs 25 plus. Car paid for itself after a few months. It Blew a convertor (which i had replaced once) so sold for what i paid for it.
Escort was cooler in summer also since neither had working AC. The furd f350 was relegated to yard duty with an occasional trip to get stone. That's been every bit of 15 years now. I was just debating rebuilding the engine and painting it instead of buying a newer truck but with gas so high it'll sit. It just won't die... I let my son drive it around property for years starting around age 10 and he couldn't kill it either. If you can swing a f350 extra cab long bed into a garage without hitting anything you can drive anything.
