No, the left wing media hates Tesla as it is non union and Musk exposed government involvement in censorship, so, they make things news stories that aren't real news just to hurt Tesla. Trucks get stuck in the sand at beaches every day. Not a exceptional event that justifies a news article.

Depends what you want in a car .

if you want looks and sound, gas cars win. If you want insane performance, yet super reliable as daily driver and low running cost, EVs win. Again, everyone has different criteria for what they want from a car. Acceleration has always been my #1 priority.

Depends on the driver. I know many Vette owners and very very few of them actually did things with their car that required great handling. I owned 13 Vettes and never road raced them. Drag racing and street racing only. Other than suspension mods for drag racing, I never ever spent a single cent on making any of my 13 Vettes corner better. All the money went into horsepower and strength so that I have fewer break downs.

You clearly have no understanding of basic statistics. Your personal experience and that of the "many" Corvette owners you know represent a tiny fraction of all Corvette owners. That said, I suspect the overwhelming majority of Corvette and Tesla (checkered color or plain) never race their car anywhere (beating Grandma in her minivan from stoplight to stoplight doesn't count as racing IMO).

The most ridiculous part of this argument that you keep making is that you can't seem to grasp the very simple fact that handling, brakes, and other aspects of performance can be experienced outside of a race track driving at the limit.

I don't need to be on a race track on the limit to appreciate a great handling vehicle. I don't need to be glowing rotors going into the International Horseshoe at Daytona to appreciate good brakes.

At legal speeds, most cars brakes are more than adequate to stop the car. The difference in braking distance is only larger at highly illegal speeds that you shouldn't really drive on a public highway. If someone wants to drive fast, there are race tracks to do that.
