Great. But you have to click on it to find out. No different than any other listing that has you all twisted up.

See that number at THE VERY top? What do you think that is? Is your argument that the font size is different? ... because the information is exactly the hell the same.

They are leading with a fake number. You have to click to find the real one. The EXACT thing you claim to be the problem.

So which is it? Everybody? Or "vast majority"?

They are using intentionally MISLEADING advertising with fine print to draw customers. Exactly what you claim to despise. Unless of course Tesla.

Meh. Close enough.

To a small degree, yes. Is there a climate emergency? No.
Is there anything the US can do to reduce global warming? Nope.
The human impact on climate change is mostly caused by population growth in 3rd world nations and the resulting deforestation. 3rd world stoves are wood fired. Most of the wood from deforestation is burned. The climate emergency is a hoax. There is no emergency.

EV euphoria is dead. Automakers are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans

Quote:
Automakers from Ford Motor and General Motors to Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Jaguar Land Rover and Aston Martin are scaling back or delaying their electric vehicle plans.

Though consumer demand for EVs hasn’t shown up in the way executives had expected, sales of the vehicles are still predicted to increase in the years to come.

A broad return to a more mixed offering of vehicles — with lineups of gas-powered vehicles alongside hybrids and fully electric options — assumes an all-electric future at a much slower pace, and it calls attention to ambitious EV targets set for the years ahead.
Even U.S. EV leader Tesla, which is estimated to have accounted for 55% of EV sales in the country in 2023, is bracing for what “may be a notably lower” rate of growth, CEO Elon Musk said in late January.

But they go fast in a straight line and let you plan trips around charging and hot meals, so there's that.

My neighbors across the street just got a X double, that is the fourth X double on my street, all purchased in the past two years.
4 of them, 20 houses on my street, damn things are popular.
The dood who just bought one, he also has a nice X5, is getting $38/month unlimited charging at home during off-peak hours with FPL.

I may have to get the wifey one soon, but will try to sell on the Eray!!

Didn't read the linked article, huh? They make note of that, but also note that they're not increasing nearly as fast as was predicted.

Rate of growth will necessarily have to slow eventually. Overall, I don't see the overall trend of EV sales growing every year to stop, just not at the same rate as in prior years. High interest rates have hurt the market for more expensive cars in general and most EV models are higher priced. If Tesla or any other EV maker comes out with a long range $25k EV, it would be a game changer. It comes down to cost.

I read from a climate expert that if mankind shut off the switch, stopped using energy totally and just sat there, that by the year 2100, the impact would be 7/10's of one degree Fahrenheit cooler.

The climate of the world was hotter in the Middle Ages than it is now. There were no cars or deforestation. The climate was even warmer when the dinosaurs roamed. And mountains were covered by oceans.

The delusion that man can control climate on this planet is just that....a delusion. Unfortunately, the experts that got voted into power are slamming the brakes on human comfort and existence have found the false narrative very handy for keeping uneducated people afraid and controllable. How the f they think/thought they could eliminate a significant part of the matket is beyond me.

Agreed. It is the egomaniacal greenies that think they are as powerful as God and can change the weather and control the earth.

The planet's climate has always changed. There are natural cycles but the rate of change is faster than in previous cycles. There is a human impact but it is small. If world population stops growing, the impact of humans on climate cycles will get less over time. If world population keeps growing, we will eventually have a problem but not within a decade or 2. Maybe in a few hundred years or even 1000's of years.

Well, duh. But without huge .gov subsidies that will NEVER happen. When was the last decent $25k car sold in the U.S. that anybody would want?

You're old enough like me to remember the doom & gloom predictions in the mid-70s of a "coming ice age" due to "global cooling." Oops, got that one wrong, so it changed to "global warming." Now it's morphed into "global climate change" so it covers everything. And lots of idiots buy into it and believe the "experts" and government.

Yep, but many in dc have taken notice that al go****yourself gore has grown his net worth to $300+M by lying and BSing to everyone about the end of world is coming soon.

While many in dc are satisfied with generating a net worth increment of $5+M/year, they realize to get to al gore numbers, climate alarmist tactics is the better, more expedient, proven way.

Those in dc will still make a fortune, 30+% of every taxpayer dollar spent, but the return when they give BS alternative energy companies $$$HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS$$$ of your tax dollars each year is the very best strategy.

Based on this source, that would have been 1985.

Twenty (20) houses on my street and not one EV and most have 2 cars in the garage Of course, this is a Detroit suburb which might explain the reason why.

Yep. And remember 'The Population Explosion' that was supposed to end the world by 2000, when all the gas and oil had run out?
Funny, I remember being in Los Angeles in '72 and not being able to see any of the surrounding mountains due to brown smog. Today, with maybe 3 times the cars and people, the air is much better. Even my 19 year old Tundra qualifis as a ULEV (Ultra low emissions vehicle) with a v8 engine. This whole entire EV and Solar Panel/wind power agenda is simply to keep the public afraid and compliant.

The MMGW scam is about making Liberal Billionaires even richer. Back when they pushed for Cap&Trade, all the so called "Exchange" would have been operated by those Billionaires. Cap & Trade is a huge scam..
