Hiya Jenn!

It is very easy.
First you need some good chocolate be it dark or milk.
I get a pot of water and turn the burner on low, let the water heat up but not to a boil. I get a metal bowl and shave the chocolate(shaving the chocolate helps melt it quicker) add it to the bowl. Be CAREFUL you don't want the chocolate to become thick you want it runny, so I usually put it on the lowest flame it can be on and sometimes I shut of the gas and just the let from the heat from the steaming water melt the chocolate (this prevents the chocolate from getting too hot and thick). Alternate the heat on and off as needed.

Get a toothpick and skew the strawberry. (Do this step in your prep)
Dip and twirl the strawberry in the chocolate put on a tinfoil covered cooling rack

When chocolate runs low....repeat the shaving part.

When you are done with all your strawberries put them in the fridge for about 30 mins or until you want to serve them.

Be sure your strawberries are totally dry before start the chocolate melting!!
Enjoy!!

Lil snide loved them!

I had to ask him to save some for his Dad
I didn't have dark chocolate at the time so snide had to suffer with the milk.

I'll make his this weekend and a few more milk chocolate ones for me and Lil snide.

Our local market sells chunks of Belgium chocolate and that is what I use.

At Christmas we make choc dipped cherries, after soaking them in brandy.

Double boiler for the chocolate. If it starts to get thick, add a little shortening, about 1/4 tsp at a time. About every 10-15 cherries.

You can add a little whipping cream to make sure it's a little thinner, and it makes it very rich, like chocolate truffles.

G'night all, sleep well. zzzzzzzz.....
