If you exclude SU Carbs, which are arguably the worst carbs in the world, I have never not made it back from a trip with car that had a carb.

In the old days, when I did a lot of 4 wheeling, I took a rotor, a cap, fuel & water pump, a couple of jets, etc., and tools and always made it home.

I had a four barrel that was driving me nuts. It ran, just not well. It turned out there was a small leak in the float. I did not realize it at first because the gas would drain out of the float when you drained the gas to take off the carb. Once I figured out what the problem was, it ran fine. That was the only 4B Carb I ever had any problems with.

OK, this afternoon's update.

1. Mustang has a new heater core.
2. I need skin grafts on my arms.
3. I need a liver transplant from all the Blue Moon I just guzzled.

What a PITA....even on an ancient car like this one, heater core replacement sucks donkey balls. Not swamp donkey....just regular garden variety donkey.
