California Duster
Yea or Nay? The debate on these things is pretty even so I can't decide if they are good or bad. My car gets pretty dusty sitting in the garage and I don't want to just wipe it down with detail spray and risk scratching it all up and I don't want to have to wash it every time I take it out either.
So what is the consensus here at the Barn?

I don't; too great a chance to scratch the paint.
There's too many better options |

I keep a duster in the garage just for this. I'll dust it then I will would hit the 'oil' spots from the duster with detail spray.

I used on all the time until I got some grease on it that wouldn't wash out. I need to pick up another one. I also have a small one I use on the dash and for quick wipes around the interior.

Use one all the time. Don't see where there is a chance of scratching your car. If there is anything on the vette that I think will cause problems, it is removed before the car goes in the garage. What little dust that accummulates comes right off. I'm the only one with access to the duster, so I don't have to worry to what abuse the duster was subjected. Have used the duster for about 6/7 years. YMMV

used one for years .... although they can leave a film on some waxes like ....pinnacle souveran ... the trade off is worth it during the green dust season we get in the spring.
usually i will dust the car then wipe down with detail spray ...

I've used one since I bought the vette. Only thing is that a new one has wax on it so it takes a bit to get "broken in" but after that its great. Use it gently and keep it free of debris

Have used one on the 67 FB for 10 years. Good for removing very light dust. Agree- use it gently....

You're right. That's some oily wax.

I went and got one yesterday but now it's just sitting on some newspaper mocking me because I want to use it.
