That was a nice looking shark Jon. The L-82s are a rear 78. No L-82s were sold in California.

I'll say, very nice car. For me, the Stingray is the epitomy of the Corvette. Got to drive my bosses (gf's dad) 79' when I was 18- what a blast. Love the way the ass end squats when you get on it, even though it was a Cali dog, was a very cool ride.

I agree, I would love to have a C3 someday. I've never driven one.

Well let's see, they're hot, noisy, uncomfortable, don't brake well, handle worse and are underpowered, other than that a great car

How about that Mahogany interior that was ordered with this car, thought it was Cinnabar but actually was Mahogany. We looked it up, thought it had to be rare, but it's not. It took some getting used to.

I agree, the C3 makes the C4 look like a race car.. I have driven quite a few C3s, and if I would drive them like I drive my C4 I would end up running off the road alot..........Right Pete???........WW

I dont know anymore. The way I drive I would do that to a Z06. I really need to slow down. Last Saturday coming home on what I now call "Petes Curve" I took that damn curve again at 55 MPH (ASR Off) and it pushed all the way no problem. Betty Boop does not have the tires like The Ghost and it rides on VBP sport monospring suspension. I dont know what the hell I was thinking about doing 80 and trying to take those curves but Im going back there for revenge for sure.

The more I think and the more I drive it on Betty Boop I come to realize that the damn ASR is for street driving only. Few C5 and C6 owners dislike their traction control system as well.

God! I miss the good ole days. No wonder there's so much traffic, we keep trying to save everyone from natural attrition!

Jeez Sweets.....you really are ancient

Could that contraption be used in motion? I know the tone arm is spring loaded but seems like it would still skip. Hell, the early CD players in cars skipped like mad. And it seems like the spring loaded arm would wear the crap outta the 45's.

Still, a cool old piece of nostalgia. Prehistoric iPod.

I'd blame it lack of track prep. A few pebbles can ruin your day.

Sweet, Were you driving already when that tuner came out? Are you exempt from paying life insurance?

Apparently you could, hence the way it was designed. Those old beasts used to float pretty good. When you think of it, how many times did you have to pile pennies on top of your old tone arms just to make them play. The old 45's were pretty indestructible though, and I now have finished dating and humiliating myself

Well Wayne, with you growing up in the hills of West Virginia, I'll bet you're still amazed about the light bulb

No, I was only 6 in 1961, but I used to sit on my dads lap and steer the car, and they were all big boats back then.
