Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB 7063 into law on Monday. This law raises the legal age for stripping from 18 to 21.

This is just one step in his ongoing fight against human trafficking in Florida.

Seems like a step in the right direction, don't you think?
Well, this Florida man is NOT HAPPY about it.

Someone get this guy on a watchlist because this is a major red flag. 🚩

Chris Nelson, a "Christian" part-time journalist and part-time DJ, has been expressing how upset he is about this new law ... and he seems a bit too passionate about the subject.

Did this walking, talking red flag just suggest that the customers at these establishments are the ones truly being exploited, rather than the girls dancing?

This is a missile launched directly at strip clubs ... this is definitely the first step in making them illegal.

The fact is, is that there are girls, wether you agree with it or not, who use that [stripping] as a way to make really good money at a part of their life. And they can't do that forever. They reach an age pretty quickly that thier unable to do that kind of work [stripping] anymore.

He simply can't hide his creepiness. He's playing the male feminist card, and it's just not working, bud. He's pretending to be worried for young girls who are trying to pay their way through "med school" by stripping, but everyone is seeing right through it - he's mad about not having teenage girls strip for him anymore.

As Carolina Amest, FL State Rep., pointed out to Chris during his attempt at a "gotcha moment," there are plenty of other jobs out there that don't involve teenage girls having to strip to make their way through school or improve their lives.

For some more context surrounding this law, Chris here is so upset about:

The law will require the installation of awareness signs in places like rest areas and emergency rooms, and if you're a state contractor, you must show that you're not using forced labor.

If anyone is caught breaking these rules, they'll face even steeper penalties.

DeSantis also announced he's greenlighting $4.9 million from the state budget. This money will expand access to emergency beds for people rescued from human trafficking and put more hands on deck for prevention efforts. Plus, a $900K grant program is in the works to level up staffing and training for law enforcement fighting human trafficking.

This legislation will help better protect the most vulnerable in our communities. It will ensure that if businesses are not complying with these very modest, reasonable requirements, whether knowingly or unknowingly, they will be held accountable. And of course, anybody actively involved in human trafficking will have the book thrown at them in the state of Florida.

The law goes into effect on July 1, 2024, and is all about enhancing protections for people (especially young women) who might be at risk.

I'm on the fence about this since I paid for college as a Titty Bar DJ before I started in radio.

If a chick is of legal age, I used to see no issue, but then again I and management would also refuse to hire girls of legal age right out of high school for their first dancing jobs.

We always heard the same stories: "I just want to work for some extra money over the summer before going to school. I just want to work for a year and then go to school full time. Blah blah blah..."

Then there's the question of drinking age and why are underage girls working in bars flowing with booze? That's a liability for management, bar tenders, DJs, and the owners.

In almost every case, those chicks became a coked out alcoholics within 6 months and most often never left the bars due to their own will.

Let's not get me started about the drinking age and voting age.
