That would be fun but I'd have to drive her all the way back down.

My skinny ass is flying. I'll be back in the next week or so to pay the crew installing all new soffits, fascia, gutters etc.

I'll ping you when I get flight info.

I came here to say C6ZR1.

I have been a C4 guy most of my Corvette life, then I got my Callaway Grand Sport SC620. I didn't love the C7 and I've never been in a C8.

I still love a C4, but if I can only have one in the garage to drive... it will be a widebody, manual trans C6. They are that good.

I'll see your jetstream blue and give you crystal red metallic. Not my car but the photos are just epic.

Unless you are going to road race a C5Z, still the greatest factory-ready lapper, I would look at C6Z.
The LS7 is awesome provided head work has been done, and the interior of C6Z much MOAR better.

That may be so, but...I do not like the looks of the C6. It always looks to me that when they got to the rear behind the wheels, they just lost interest and just slapped a facia and some tail lights and called it done....

The FRC C5Z is an ageless classic, go luck with the hunting.

Here is a 27K miles listed on CF:

Don't McLaren windshields cost like $20 grand? Something to consider on a "daily driver"....

I have been around enough BMWs in my life to say that I will not own a BMW. Bad experiences.

See above.

I have owned 30+ GM vehicles in my life. Before I bought the S6, I was actually trying to buy a Blackwing. Cadillac specific, I've owned 2 V-wagons and 2 Escalades. After the last attempt to buy the Blackwing, I have now sworn that I will never buy another one. I went a mile up the street and bought the Audi instead.

I don't know that I am 100% attached to the Audi but they have certainly earned some loyalty. I will say that everything on it has been top notch as has the service over the last year. It had an electrical issue that needed a fix. I went in ready to fight (like I have done with GM/Cadillac over the last decade). They took it, handed me the keys to an A6, and said we'll call you when it's done. When I dropped it off, the guy looked at me and said next time just give him a call and they'll pick it up. A 180 from the GM bullshit that I have had to go through any time something was wrong with 1 of them. Even under warranty, it's always a fight.

I love the S6. It is an absolutely phenomenal car. It is a perfect example of luxury-sport with a slight lean to the luxury side. For the daily driver, it is perfect. As I drive a little bit less, I am looking for something a little bolder and a little less practical. Because why not.

I actually sat down with the wife last night with this thread as a reference .

I want a Viper. Period. I also have 2 young kids. Not having any option to toss them in it is unfortunately too much of a no-go at this point. Which leads us to this. I think I have narrowed it down to 2 wildly different things.

Option A.) Audi RS6 Avant

Option B.) 2015-2016-ish Porsche 911 Turbo

As much as I want the GT3, it rolls into that same problem of no back seat. I tried to say that I could strap them to the roll cage but that didn't fly. It may not be functional for full size humans, but the 911 back seat would actually work for kids.

While I would take the Turbo S, your comment that you have 2 small children may mean they fit now, but quite likely won't in a couple of years.

That sounds like a problem for future me.

And yea, that is exactly the part I'm trying to reconcile.

There are a few cars on the bucket list that I plan on checking off eventually. a 911 variant is 1 of those. As is a Viper.

That actually sounds like a great idea for a new thread. Imagine this forum with a couple of threads about cars on the front page.
