There’s really not much from the 60’s & 70’s classic rock that I don’t like. I even like some of the disco stuff. And Motown from that time was awesome.

Best lyrics could be a thread by itself but sticking with the Aja theme…. If you don’t hear the tune get out of the rock you live under:

I crawl like a viper
Through these suburban streets
Make love to these women
Languid and bittersweet
I'll rise when the sun goes down
Cover every game in town
A world of my own
I'll make it my home sweet home

I don't have big speakers so I can play them loud; hell, many smaller speakers will do that though mostly with distortion.
I rarely listen to music much over 75-80 dB.

The size of the speakers is due in part to the number of drivers (speakers), particularly low frequency as they require a lot of mass to stabilize the speaker itself (cabinet reverb etc)

What this allows is to hear more of the music from the recording. The larger drivers play the deep notes and take the strain off the mid range drivers that only cover vocal, brass, guitars, high percussion etc.
It's about clarity and the ability to reproduce the music in a believable way.

Smaller speakers with fewer drivers means each driver has to play a wider sonic range which causes muddy sound, distortion etc.

Other than a good rig, the biggest problem folks have with getting good sound is the room. A well setup system doesn't have to break the bank to sound quite good if you place speakers properly, use treatments (not overtreated to crush dynamics)

My wife used to make fun of my hobby until I asked her to sit in the room and play a few of her favorite songs.
She was shocked to hear so many things she never knew were in the recording.

I'd do this for a living but I wouldn't want it to ruin the joy by turning it into work.

Fun fact, Brian is now the proud father of 14 children all born around 9 months after this gig.
