Rear sway bar?
A while back, I installed a Pfadt rear sway bar. I have it set on the middle setting which is what almost everyone running it has recommended for street use when using a stock front bar.
Unfortunately, I don't get an easy feeling when pushing the car hard. It's almost like the ass end is unstable. To me, this makes me thing maybe the endlinks are binding in corners, but I've triple checked through the suspension range that there is no binding. It just feels twitchy while turning. Front end feels ridiculously planted and stable, but not the back. I'm running DRM Bilsteins at all 4 corners. I'm starting to think that I either need to go back to the OEM rear bar (which I can't seem to find, so that's fun), or finally install the Pfadt front bar. I hesitate to do that considering the front end feels great with the OEM bar. I run the risk of ruining the front ends handling. Thoughts? Any of you have experience with sway bar tuning? |

Not much, just 2 or 3 cars that I have made those type of modifications. But I do know that the front and rear work in tandem, because of the rigidity of the chassis. Best to go with the manufacturer's recommendations and install a matched set. Check with Pfadt, read their install instructions and tuning recommendations.

I think my tie rod ends could also be on their way out. Almost 60K miles on the clock, it makes sense. Maybe time for an upgrade to heims with bumpsteer capability...
