I'm a 'Day Two' guy as well. I guess it's because of the era I grew up in, with Hurst shifters, Cragar and American wheels, etc. etc.

In the mid '60's I'd build those car models that came with stock wheels and also mags, Moon tanks, etc. You could build them stock or gasser style. My very first model at age 5 was a '55 Chevy with Cragars, stickshift, Moon tank, radiused wheel wells in the rear, and painted bright orange. Plenty of glue on the windshield, but just my speed nonetheless. 56 years later, nothing has changed.

I used to build those models like that, too. Never could paint them very well, though. Still can't paint.
But now I just collect die cast cars my wife finds at garage sales: |

I have owned a couple of FI cars in the past but nothing now or in the future. However for the people that do and plan to in the future it would be nice if the guys that have knowledge of these things would post any written info that would help people to work on their own so when the day comes that they are not around they can be maintained.

Hey Tom,
I just heard in another section here that you got a vacation from the Corvette Forum. I assume it was from your head about closed threads there? I still read it every day but as you likely know I have been perma-banned there. Here is a link where you are being discussed. https://www.thevettebarn.com/forums/...=1#post2251286
