F150's come in different trims with different tires. The FX4 usually has the taller rims with street tires while others may have more off-road suited tires. I used to own a FX2 SuperCrew and it had regular street tires on like 19" rims.
The FX4 is the same as the FX2 and it has taller rims and street tires. The FX4 is AWD. I really would like to see a F150 FX4 in the same situation and I would bet that it would fail as well. Sure, the other F150 SuperCrew models that come with better off road tires may handle it just fine, but those who come with regular all season tires would likely fail. Unfortunately, we don't have a video of a F150 trying to drive through the same situation.
Of course, the off-road package that Ford offers would have tires that get the job done but the street package would likely not handle it.

And even if any other standard truck did struggle, putting better winter tires on the F150 doesn't reduce it's overall capabilities.

Taking another significant chunk of range out of the already marginal at best range of the Tesla, and even more range loss at highway speeds certainly does.
It turns it into a vehicle that simply cannot be used for anything, much less towing or hauling, outside of a contained metropolitan area.

So yes, I guess if your argument is that the only people buying the Cybertruck are people who will use it for nothing beyond running to Target and Starbucks regardless, it's no big deal.

How much range do you think that off-road tires would cost the Cybertruck. I highly doubt that tires will make more than a 5 - 10% difference. I guess we will only find out once someone installs off-road tires on a cybertruck.

Whole lot of incorrect and assumptions in this post regarding the Ford F150.

This may be correct but your understanding of the F150 trims and options is off the mark.

Most of what you think you know is incorrect.
I’ve owned many F150’s and currently own an F250. I know the F series trucks better than most.

Ford offers a FX4 Off-Road Package for $1,095

That includes off road rated tires.. Without that, it comes with regular all season tires.

The FX4 package has nothing to do with the tire selection. Only by default are the FX4 trucks equipped with the off road tires (all terrain) because they are standard with the 4x4 (required to add the FX4)...and all season are standard on 4x2 trucks. The FX4 package is mostly about the skid plates and shocks and hill descent control and several other non performance goodies (floor mats and stickers)

Just heard the local radio DJ reporting on the Hertz-WV thing, and he mentioned a good friend of his took a trip around the country in her EV and was having fun until she hit a snowstorm in Colorado and the car went dead when it was supposed to have 103 miles left to go. She was stuck for hours, freezing, in 11 feet of snow. This is life and death shit right here. EV's are good on the golf course or retirement community. As viable, long range utilitarian transportation? NOPE.

Still not enough to unconvince the elon cultists.
I will be an investor in the gasoline black market if these loons get their way.

Didn't know that they were standard. It doesn't say on the website what the package includes. So, the 4x4 will habe all terrain tires, so, the tires give it an advantage over the stock tires in the Cybertruck. Would like to see how the Cybertruck would handle the same conditions with the tires that come in the 4x4 F150.

You forgot the most important part of the FX4 package: electronic locking rear diff.

Negative. Wheel diameter is dictated by trim level and weight class first, then as a stand-alone upgrade. 4wd’s come with all seasons but they are predominantly Michelin LTX which is functionally an all season smith it’s street-focused tread. Some trucks come with Toyo AT’s depending on availability.
FX4’s are not AWD. They are 4wd and some have auto-4wd modes on the selector.

Anyways, I would like to see F150 and Cybertruck handle those type of conditions on the same type of tires.

OK, let me summarize:

Those who...

a) tow a large camper or any heavy trailer for long distances on a regular basis
b) frequently drive over 150 miles in a single day in freezing cold conditions
c) want to take road trips avoiding the fastest routes
d) who can't charge at home or work
e) who want to do serious offroading with their truck
f) who don't stop for normal hot meals in a full day of driving, dehydrate and hold their pee for 5 hours

should not get an EV.

Other than d), which probably accounts for 30% of the population, the rest of the items covers maybe 5% of the population at best.

I always said that it's not a good idea to have an EV if you can't charge at home or work.
