A spa is a friend/ family event. You must get clean (shower) before entering. If you have sensitive skin, rinse off (second shower) to remove chlorine and alkalinity chemicals in the spa water.

With the new spa, I invested into a salt system to replace the ozone and most of the granular chlorine. It's not seawater salt concentration- much lower. Once past the circulation tube, the sodium and chlorine ions recombine.

So chlorine is still used as a disinfectant, but its at a high concentration- rapid time. And this occurs within the circulation system, not in the main body of water. Thus no or very low levels of chlorine against your skin.

Looks like the deck slopes away from the house. That’s not unusual is it? Seems a little excessive, but normal, no? Up here they all do as snow builds up and when it melts they don’t want it running back towards the house.

I designed the deck to slope 2" over its ten-feet width. That way when it snows, water will run away from the house.

The spa is level.

Your arrow is pointing to a ski rack.
