I have Hankooks on the 2020 Terrain and I hate them....45,000 so far and still good but they suck hard in rain and snow. I'll be getting Michelin Defenders next probably as I had them on the Honda CRV two times and both times got over 90,000 ! They were very good in all weather....Costco said out the door with taxes etc like $975.00

I have the Michelin LTX A/T 2 on my truck. Very nice ride, good mpg’s and decent off road. I’d like the looks of a more aggressive tire but I’m not desert racing or rock climbing so the highway performance is important and practical.

No joke, I've never gotten this kind of mileage, crazy! I did rotate the tires every 5k at each oil change. And I will continue doing this.

So, what side of the tire faces in or outwards? The one wide line in the tread pattern goes inward.....?

I got them to put a new set of OEM Pirellis on the S6 when I bought it. It did come with the "winter wheel and tire" package, which is a bonus. Next month when the gazillion dollar summer Pirellis are toast I'll probably go with the Continentals.

I had great results with the Contis the last few times out on the V-wagons.

(I am admittedly usually a Michelin fanboy)

Almost certain, but not willing to bet, that all Michelin have 'outside' or maybe 'inside' in raised rubber on wall of tire.

Good question, as many tires, even performance are not symmetrical.

I try to always go with Michelins, they have treated me well for 20+ years.

With that said, many other manufacturers' offerings are very good, Conti has stepped up their game, and if you have hi-hp car, you need to look at much better grip than Michelin can offer.

I am a little biased with Michelins, as the last set for the wife's XT5 were gratis, their customer service after the sale regarding proration monies is exceptional!!

This is why I prefer raised white letter tires.....it's easy to know which side is supposed to face outward!

Checked. They’re marked inside/outside. I was correct that the fat groove faces inward.

Love to read more on how these were designed.

I have some fairly new A/T tires on my truck. I get over 80 and the truck starts to float all over the road. Problem is, that's the average speed on the highway unless you want to ket stuck behind a trucker or grandma in the slow lane doing 55-60
