Default You want fries with that? McDonald's to remove a McCrispy ad near a crematorium

McDonald's says it will remove a McCrispy ad opposite a crematorium that's been called 'tasteless'

9/10.....Solid title, good visual. Would laugh again.

"....been called tasteless."

I take that to mean they've eaten at McDondald's then?

I have a cremation question. If a person has metal parts in them, like a hip or a knee, are those parts included in the box of ashes given to the family?

A woman, whose mother-in-law had been cremated at the site, told the outlet she found the ad "tasteless."
She said: "I'm sure some grieving family members won't like to see it when visiting Penmount for the funeral and cremation of a loved one."
People are too easily offended these days.

Not sure it's worth the trouble.

Good question, waiting to hear answers.

A loved one had a pacemaker and I had to disclose it. It was removed prior to cremation and I didn't receive it, although, to be fair, I wouldn't want it anyway.

Another loved one had a gold tooth. Didn't see it when I spread the ashes. At the time, it didn't occur to us to ask about it. I would hope that the cremation process melted it down somehow, but in reality, I bet someone along the way ripped the tooth out and sold it, like the Nazis did. I mean, I doubt the cremation oven got hot enough to melt it down, and even if it did, it should have appeared in the box of ashes, and it did not.

As for me, I've got a titanium alloy rod. I'll be cremated, but no one will be around to care about what happens to that. I joke that my remains box will have to be longer than most.

No, people just need to mind their own damn business. If this idiot is so trigger and lose sleep over this they need more help than society can give them. Just give'em a 9mm and let them end it themselves. Then us normal people can go about our lives not knowing about crap like this.
This is a microcosm of all that is wrong with people in this country today.

Precisely. People seem to have this idea that if something offends them, it must be abolished. Problem with that is there will always be something offensive to somebody. When all this woke nonsense started and the snowflakes started crying all the time, I predicted, quite correctly, that it would only be a matter of time before the snowflakes started to turn on one another.

Well, a cursory search revealed as far as gold teeth go, they do melt in the crematorium. Morticians aren’t allowed to extract teeth, so you would have to hire a dentist to extract them, and it would probably be difficult finding a dentist willing to do so anyway.

The average scrap value of a gold tooth is around a 100 bucks and it would probably cost many times this amount to hire someone to remove. I suppose you could try to remove them yourself with a pair of pliers, but I’m guessing that wouldn’t go over well with others involved.

I tried that when my grandmother died. I was really drunk at the viewing. The whole procedure sucked. Rigor mortis made it almost impossible to open her mouth far enough to get at the gold teeth. I brought a hammer and chisel with me too but somebody noticed when I was pulling them out of the tool bag and before you know it there was a big fight full of drunken mourners.

I was going to try again when my grandfather died, but they wouldn't let me near the body.

Nah, all that is pure BS. None of it happened. To the best of my recollection, that is.
