A swab that is + counts as 1(ONE) COVID case (even if they are tested 3 times and have 3 positive results)

An IgG antibody test does not count as a new active case

Although mechanistic studies support the potential effect of hand hygiene or face masks, evidence from 14 randomized controlled trials of these measures did not support a substantial effect on transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza. Just stop it already. There is no scientific basis for wearing a mask to walk into a restaurant, removing your mask while eating, and then donning the mask to exit the building. There just isn't. It's sheer TSA-style security theater. The mask thing became a political hot issue when the democrat party saw a benefit to large scale racially charged riots, and the masks were a way they could sorta justify these large crowds, while concealing their identity. That's it. That's the genesis of this whole ****ing thing. You can argue about the pluses/minuses of mask wearing till the cows come home but there are countless articles prior to this hysteria, like the one I linked here and the others I have linked in this huge thread, that say otherwise. At this point you are going to be exposed to this virus at some point. There are numerous treatments for it that are very effective. Know what they are and demand them from your healthcare providers. If they don't want to give them to you, raise hell. Find another provider that will. Whether it's inhaled steroids, or HCQ/zinc/z-pack, or some others that have been found to be effective, get treated as soon as you know you have it. That's the only advice worth a shit, because wearing a balaclava made from a piece of cloth is great for a bank robbery but does nothing to protect you from a 0.3 micron virus.

It also wouldn't hurt to stay home if you are in a high-risk group. Don't rely on others to protect you - that's insane. Make sure you take plenty of vitamin C and D (if you can't get out in the sun much especially) and probably wouldn't hurt to take zinc tablets. If you do get it the survival rate is basically 99.96% here in America.

- I've read that herd immunity requires ~60% of the population to get the vaccine, is that true? What (your opinion here) will happen if less than 50% opt to get it? What then?

I'm at the lung clinic, so strapped on time: this is a good (old) article, and references influenza, but discusses "herd immunity/vaccine".

As with any vaccine, problem will fall into compliance. Would be willing to bet the same bucking masks will be the same group that says no to the vaccine.

As we know little about SARSCOV2, not sure but would "GUESS" that a vaccine MAY be annual not one and done. But again.... that is ONLY me surmising.
