I'd like to know why we didn't see weeping doctors and 20 minutes of sad stories and preaching about masks all the years that the flu was killing people? Did those 100s of thousands of lives just not mean shit? Fk these crying hypocrites. If you didn't cry then, don't cry now.

It doesn't matter, you can't stop it. Society needs to decide on whether to survive or die as a whole. Hiding as if this is a nuclear winter and crawling out of your hole years later will only guarantee that the support networks that we need to survive have been destroyed. We will have sealed our own fates if we follow the fear mongers.

Not sure what you experience where you live, but in severe flu seasons here, if high levels of influenza, they close schools, tell sick people to stay home from work/school recommend all the things I have said on here MANY times. I won't be redundant. As I have stated MANY times, influenza is contagious WHEN the patient is SYMPTOMATIC. I have NEVER diagnosed a patient with influenza that was unaware they were sick = contagious.

BTW - how many years since you have been alive have there been influenza seasons in the US that have killed over 130K in 7 months? We have 5 months to go before we finish computing numbers.

Have you ever seen flu mid summer in the triple digit heat of summer? Yea, me neither. EVER in 21 years in practice.

Have you ever seen flu cause multiorgan failure, long term cardiac dysfunction, abnormal heart rhythms, ischemia in the bowels, cytokine storm (that strikes and kills often within hours of onset), coagulopathy of adults and children, multisystem inflammatory syndrome (kids), ? Seen flu kill an entire household? Yea, me neither. EVER. Most people that die as a result of influenza die from ------ pneumonia.

For the love of GOD, this is NOT the MOTHER FUQQING FLU!

Google: What happens to your blood after you die?

Ken Saladin
, Former professor of histology (microscopic anatomy)

Answered April 28, 2018 · Author has 13.8K answers and 22.7M answer views
Originally Answered: What happens to blood after death?
It coagulates within minutes, filling the heart and vessels with jellylike clots. This begins even during death, as the heartbeat becomes weaker and blood flow slows down. It is a contributing factor in death from a heart attack as the increasingly clotted blood becomes unable to flow and supply such vital organs as the brain and heart.

I don't know why the same would not be true for organs.

I use common sense: I wear a mask in situations where social distancing is impossible to maintain, like in the office or the grocery store. If I'm out riding my bike alone on the bike path I don't. And I don't throw a fit about having to wear one.

I have never in my life heard of a school being closed for Influenza. It certainly never happened to me when I was in school in Chicago, or my son when he was in school in California. Hell, we never even had a "snow day" until the Great Blizzard of '79.

Here's what Fauci, great guru of all things viral, says...

Stir-craziness is getting the best of many of us as coronavirus-caused stay-at-home orders continue, but for singles, time in isolation without companionship or sex can feel especially daunting.

Some singles are chatting with others on dating apps and others are participating in virtual sex parties, but neither can replace human contact, and many are craving in-person connections with their physically distant Tinder matches despite the safety risks that come with such an interaction.

To better understand just how risky a hookup with a stranger can be during the pandemic, Vanity Fair reporter Peter Hamby asked Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Disease and a key advisor in the White House coronavirus task force, his opinion.

"If you're swiping on a dating app like Tinder, or Bumble, or Grindr, and you match with someone that you think is hot, and you're just kind of like, 'Maybe it's fine if this one stranger comes over.' What do you say to that person?" Hamby asked Fauci.

"You know, that's tough," Fauci said. Mulling it, he gave a diplomatic response, saying that, while it's possible to carefully plan a hookup during the pandemic, people should recognize that the risks they're opening themselves — and others — up to.

"It's what's called relative risk," Fauci said. "If you're willing to take a risk — and you know, everybody has their own tolerance for risks — you could figure out if you want to meet somebody."

He said it's probably best to postpone hookups for now if you "don't want to have any part of this virus."

For those that are doing everything they can to avoid getting the coronavirus, like maintaining six feet from others, wearing a mask, and regularly washing their hands, it may be incongruous to then go on a date with someone you've never met, or don't live with.

I wear a mask everyday at work and don't throw a fit about it. Our county does not have a mask requirement at this time. Yet now my company wishes to tell me what to do outside of work. Here's a portion of an email I received this morning.

Quote:
Please review and be clear on the following expectations:

• Your participation in any activities that present higher risk of virus exposure, or fail to ensure social distancing, will most likely result in quarantine from the site.
• Activities where you do not maintain social distancing with anyone outside of people residing in your immediate household will likely result in quarantine from the site.
• A quarantine will be unpaid if you do not follow XXXXXX COVID safety protocols and are quarantined as a result (unless the you choose to use available vacation time or PTO).
• A quarantine leave that is required to care for an exposed or sick family member may be eligible for FMLA leave.
• Work schedule changes, including allowing remote work, will not be permitted to accommodate someone that has been quarantined from the site.
• People that must be quarantined more than once may require additional discussions, including disciplinary action
• All leaders – directors, managers, supervisors, leads, etc. – are responsible and accountable for upholding these expectations across the site.
I will not expect anyone to follow any rules outside of work that are not mandated by the County Mayor or Governor. If the company expects me to follow these corporate mandates, there will need to be a renegotiation of my pay. They are requiring me to make lifestyle changes not mandated by any authority and therefore these additional requirements need to be considered in my compensation.
