Some people don't like drama. I think MM hit the nail on the head. There's probably a work related component at work here. A goodbye thread not only creates drama, it also leads to questions he wouldn't want to answer in public, about the work related issue.

I agree. Even though I am a proud, patriotic American, I'm sure anyone who cared to could cherry pick and find something I have written, take it out of context, and twist it to fit whatever agenda they might have. Easier to just leave less social media to be potentially used against you.

I worked a bit in a couple of running Nuke plants and had to undergo a serious background check. ( the money to be made was well worth it!) Thank god it was before the internet age!
