The best all-around cardio workout is swimming, though. Too bad that involves either sharing a pool with others, paying to have a sufficiently large one put in, or taunting sharks.

I love a good endorphin rush. Of course, it helps to have chocolate sitting on the treadmill for when I am finished my four -five miles.

Although I do think if you had run steadly your whole life like neece i wouldn't stop it. And I also think there is a world of difference between someone who has perfected a runners stride and an actual PAVEMENT POUNDER . Maaan how i hate them at the gym, they sound like a heffalump chasing an ice cream truck |

You can't out train a bad diet. Trust me, nobody is more OCD about what they eat than I am right now. I haven't been in CFOT or VBOT much lately since I've been spending most of my internet time on fitness forums.
"Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym." I did crush my 5 mile run today in 30:46 (shattering my previous best of 31:10), a blazing 6:09/mile pace. |

Very nice... That is moving in my book. I'm training for a half next month and last weekend I did 4.5 in 38 minutes. My problem is slowing myself down for the long haul. I just want to go faster and then I burn myself out on the longer runs before I hit 7 miles.

Masturbation is a great way to get your heart rate up .... of course you'd have to spend about 3 hours a day jerking the gherkin.

The longest I've ever ran is a 10k back on Thanksgiving. I did it in 39:36 (my goal was to be under 40 min), a 6:23/mile pace. That put me in 59th out of 4100-something runners. I've been thinking of trying a half marathon, and I bet I could do it in about 100 minutes. But I'd get bored as hell slogging along at an 8:00/mile pace.

You're going to have to do that workout once (if you got a small) or twice (if you got a large) to work that off. I hope it was worth it. As I said earlier, you can't out train a poor diet. When's the last time you made your famous fried rice and SPAM casserole? Quote:

I've made it ONCE since the last verbal abuse you gave me and that was at the request of my son (who LOVES it). For what its worth, I now prefer the cardio based routines over the weight training too. Not sure why but I do. I still do the weight training and once I'm into it I really push myself but the motivation to just get started is harder. I suppose its more "fun" now too that I have a few people to workout with instead of alone. |
