A great example of why our country is screwed..vid
Honesty, I don't expect any of you to make it past the 30 or 40 seconds I did, before I wanted to throw up. It makes me feel sorry for the kids that actually have their heads screwed on straight as opposed to this blithering idiot. Video should be titled, or better yet "Entitled".....How America died......

That girls biggest problem in life is deciding what brand of mascara she should wear.
Really...if you're going to say "ummm" every third word and make a card-carrying fool out of yourself, try not to do it in a way in which people around the world will see it. |

Dixievet, I'm guessing you're agreeing with the last rant in that post? Because if you are, here's what's wrong with it.
Angry Millennial makes some crappy arguments. First, Yale is a terrible example, any Ivy League school is a terrible example. Let's just say you want a nice STEM degree today. Sure, you can go to MIT or Stanford if you can stack up, but most people can go two years to a state college, get their pre-reqs out of the way like Calculus I-III, Physics, Econ, History, whatever else. As close to home as possible, and it will be pretty cheap. Probably won't even need loans, and maybe even work at a job that fits your schedule. Then transfer to a state university and pay as much as you can yourself, live frugal as possible, and use student loans only for tuition/books. Take a year off if you need to work and save money. Then, at the end, you might owe $20-30k in student loans but you'll have a valuable degree and it shouldn't take you more than 5-10 years to pay it off. I know this works. It's exactly what I did back in the 80's and it still can be done today, surely even more efficiently than I did it. Your degree will be from a top notch university, and you will probably not have as much opportunity to party or get laid, but oh well, you probably don't know any better anyway since you're just a kid. Even back in the 80's, the idea of just going to a university hundreds of miles for home for four or five years, party all you want, live in decent student housing free of roaches or stinky roommates, all that - it was out of reach for many kids too. Including me. Hell, I had a full ride scholarship to University of Missouri when I graduated HS, but it was only for tuition. I couldn't afford the books/housing/living expenses. The most I qualified for with student loans was $2500/semester. Housing/living expenses alone at MU were in the ballpark of $7000/year. This being in the early 80's. So it's not like all the sudden college is super expensive, it's more expensive than it was, but it was pretty damn expensive back then too. You have to get a degree that merits the amount of money and time it costs to do it, and do it efficiently. Or, I guess, instead of trying to burn down our capitalistic system by voting for a socialist who took his honeymoon in Moscow, USSR, we could simply reform the way people got degrees and make going to college a whole lot cheaper. Why? We have the technology. No reason to vote for a guy who doesn't even have a clue how to install Windows and has never had to make a payroll in his life. |

Kitchen? That's where the illegal uh undocumented worker makes all the meals, not where young progressives would be caught dead. You know, having to actually touch all that nasty, bloody meat or having to wash dishes or stuff. It is too gross to contemplate. Ummm really!
