no. besides, mahogany is not as hard as maple. i bought as much as I thought i'd need, and have about 2 scraps left over, both about 6x12. walnut or maple are my favorites for cutting boards. but if you are a baller, i know where to find some teak. it's even harder than maple! |

Okay, for shits and giggles, what does teak go for nowadays? I have a love/hate thing for teak. As a boater, I love the beauty of it and how it looks finished, or unfinished and bleached. I just disliked what it takes to maintain it. Unlike a boat, a cutting board stays inside and unweathered.

Douglas, can you make a life size copy of the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria?
I've always wanted to have my very own replicas. You can use fiberglass for the first two, but to be true to form, the Santa Maria should really be made of wood, don't you think? Maybe Port Oreford cedar. No rush, but I'd really like these done before this year's sailing season is over... around early October. TIA |

First I’ll need a set of plans.
Then I’ll need to build a port to the ocean at 7000 feet. Might be a slight delay. |

flowers and roses for us.
I had mentioned that today was our wedding anniversary, so Mrs. DAB even got some flowers today. As I told Mrs. DAB, the only flowers I buy for her have roots still attached (for planting in the gardens). |
