So you'd want to set the LPF to 80 or a slightly higher #. and the HPF to 22k, or a slightly lower number. |

If you're talking a '98 Corvette, the Delco/Bose system was made specifically for each other, change one or the other and it'll sound like crap.

Head unit is a Pioneer CD/MP3/USB, bought in May to replace the Chinese piece of crap DVD player that was in the car ("NESA" brand); door speakers are the original Bose setup; mid-panels are now those Kenwoods. I took a Rockford Fosgate amp and a couple of 10" Kicker speakers out of the car and yanked the wiring thereto. Thanks! |

You old farts kill me. There's lots of good stuff out there, but you have to tune out the shit. What kills me is what is plaayed as a power song (roughly once every three hours), usually sucks and it gets old fast. Also, for your bass distortion issue (or any distortion issue) keep in mind that speakers need enough power going to them. An under powered speaker will sound jsut as crappy as one that's over powered if that over powered one doesn't pop. |

Set your HPF to 80 hz. The lower the number the more of the lower frequencies you will hear.
MP3's are the worse invention in the world. They have really helped make the average music listener dumbed down to believe what they hear is actually sounding good. Also turn off any bass boost or loudness switches. These help increase distortion. [omega man] whoever invented mp3's should be drawn and quartered and then drawn and quartered again[omega man] |

The popular stuff today is all american idol and emo junk. It's all worthless. I listen to mostly european bands.
Can't help with your settings since I know nothing about that stuff. |

Volbeat has been in rotation in the DJ-Mobile lately. Great band and I've been listening to them since 2006.

If anyones interested lookup "loudness war" on google and you will see what has happened to hinder the quality of musical recordings.

Good news. Changing the HPF setting to 80 Hz worked.
Guess this is bad news for "Also Sprach Zarathustra". |
