Default Why do guys think this is a good look?

Or even worse, a Polo shirt tucked in. Why do they tuck the shirt into their shorts? Why?

Also, why tuck your shirt in while wearing jeans? Why do people do this? Why?

Don't do it. May as well wear black socks with your sandals.

If you are doing this, stop it. Just stop it now.

If you are at work, probably yes. However, I'm talking casual wear, like on a Saturday afternoon. If you tuck your shirt in while wearing shorts or jeans, you are simply wrong. First of all, it looks dorky. Second of all, it seems that the fatter the person, the more they like to accentuate their fat rolls by ensuring the tucked-in shirt gives everybody a greatly enhanced view of their ample corpulence.

If you are a tucker, try it un-tucked today. Live on the edge. Oh, and if you wear dockers or khaki pants for non-work-related casual wear, good lord man. Just...damn.

I guess I should have remembered that I am on a Corvette forum. I've been to a CF Cruise-in before. The fashion faux pas in that single event could fill an encyclopedia.

Oh, the reason this came up was last night we hosted a birthday party for a friend of ours. One of the couples that attended, well, the guy is a tucker. He tucks in every shirt every time. His wife has tried to get him to loosen up. Last night I got home a little late from a golf tournament and everybody was already here. I quickly showered and changed into some nice shorts and a button up short-sleeved shirt. When I walked into the kitchen his wife said "See? That's how I want you to dress. Leave the shirt un-tucked!"

The look he had was as if she asked him to wear a pink blouse. Oh, he also uses so much hair gel that his hair looks like it would break if you touched it. Don't do that either.

My life-style determines what I wear: If I'm at work, it's a coat and tie (and sometimes pants). At home it's jeans and a well-used dress shirt that has oil on it, some holes, etc. It's never tucked in, rarely even buttoned in the front. In short, I have two looks: Business and homeless.

I fully understand the need to tuck when wearing business attire. I'd be happy to take you by Goodwill to pick you up some nicer shirts.

I was thrown off a golf course for not tucking in my polo shirt.

It was 95 degrees that day. The asshole drove all the way out to the seventh hole to tell me to tuck in my shirt. I told him to fuk off, left the golf cart buried to its axles in a sand trap, and left.

Should have slapped the dude and took his virginity, then do his dog for good measure, and kick the trash can over on the way out.......

My dad's country club supposedly has a rule that all shirts must be tucked in. I never do. That must have been one pretentious club.

BTW yesterday I tried out for the city championship team. There were 10 slots in my division (over 50) and I played pretty well but over the 27 holes I managed to hit three balls OB, on holes I hardly ever do that. Nerves I guess. I missed qualifying by 4 strokes.

For some reason that reminds me of this scene (language warning)

This should be the standard response for any situation that requires me to think because of an idiots action.

I'm a button-up untucked, sports coat and jeans kinda guy most of the time.

My observation is that heavier guys don't tuck.

I do or don't depending on where I am going and what shoes I have on.
