My Father used to have bad lo back pains, sciatica related shit when I was a little kid, he would lay down on the top stair landing, put his feet on the top or second step, and rock his knees back and forth......

It has helped me through the years also, I have an extra lo vertebrae in my lo back, probably inherited, glad my son don't have it....it's a PIA.....

That helps get rid of the pain, but be careful not to do anything stupid while on that stuff. You might not feel it if you hurt your back more or aggravate your current symptoms.
