I can understand your frustration because Ive felt that before on my no reserve auctions. You had three people duking it out in the last minutes. That's pretty good, as is 28 bids. I track BaT Corvette listings on a weekly basis and 28 bids would be well above average if it were a Vette.

My bet is they also talked you into having a no reserve auction as I've heard that sentiment before.

Also meant to compliment you on the listing, the pictures were great as were the videos, and then the humor you added. You couldn't have put a better foot forward or had a larger audience, the market spoke.

Probably has nothing to do with BaT per se. More like the other seller saw there was some interest in yours and he happened to have one to sell too, so he thought he would list it.

Your listing was nicely done, btw, and appears to have finished at a nice price too.

Overall I was happy......I had it listed on FB for $4999, so just about exactly what I thought.......would have liked to have seen it go crazy like the $12.5k anomaly that sold in 2022 I think, but oh well.......just didn't like the timing thingy......that's why I chose to be cordial.......thanks for the compliments.....the guy wants the trophy.......

I was gonna mention the freak pricing phenomenon on toys during the pandemic.

From what I've heard, sellers pay all their fees on the front end. No split sales commission like Barrett Jackson or Mecum.

$5250....BaT charges a $99 listing fee to the seller, and a 5% commission fee paid by the buyer
