Default It's Election Day in Canada

We finally got rid of Trudeau and his replacement is worse.

And somehow leading in the polls.

Canada is a nation of mentally ill masochists with Stockholm Syndrome.

I like Trump, but he's really phukked us all over with all the tariff and 51st State bullshit.

He gave the Liberals a "bogeyman" to distract everyone from the last 10 years of epic failure.

So the election is all about Trump instead of their horrible track record and insane policies.

I voted early last weekend.

Truly hoping for a Blue Wave because 4 more years of Liberals will kill what's left of this country.

We wore those shirts to the polling station.

Got a few compliments and one dirty look, but he didn't say a word.

Good for you, here we still have states that disallow candidate clothing:

In 21 States, Your Polling Place Attire Could Prevent You From Voting
By Courtney Cohn
October 17, 2024

In 21 states, voters can’t wear anything that includes a candidate name, political party or ballot question within a certain distance of a polling place during in-person voting.

With early voting underway in many states for the 2024 election, a lot of voters are already heading to the polls. In 21 states, the outfit they wear there matters.

Almost half of U.S. states prohibit anyone from wearing campaign apparel or buttons within a certain distance of a polling location, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. This applies to people working for campaigns and organizations as well as voters heading in to cast their ballots.

States with restrictions include Arkansas, California, Delaware, Indiana, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Vermont.

These states’ electioneering laws prohibit people from wearing anything that displays a political party, candidate name or ballot issue, which includes shirts, hats, buttons and stickers. In many places, this isn’t allowed within 50 to 100 feet of the entrance to a voting site, but in places like Kansas and Maine, the bans apply to a 250-foot distance.

The rest of the states and Washington, D.C. don’t allow people to have campaign materials, signs, banners or literature within or near polling places but don’t have guidelines on what someone can wear to vote.

Careful, you'll get a visit from the local Stasi after the election is over

Canadians as a populace are more idiotic than Americans as a whole, and that is a damn hard task.

Wow things seen a bit better in Canada.-

Back in the 70-80s I lived next door to a poling place and I was told I could not leave my parked car out side because I had a candidates bumper sticker on it.

To be honest I could see the no signs by the road that close, but my own car in my own driveway, had to keep it in the garage. Yep it was the democrats that pitched a bitch!

I hope it works out but doesn't seem like it will.

This may be a place where Trump fucked the election. Once he started saying stuff about the 51st state and all that for some reason it put the liberals up in the polls.

Of course a fiscally weak Canada with liberals in charge just means they will sell out to Trump to line their pockets.

It makes no sense, the criminality and disregard for law that Carney has shown is amazing and nobody cares.

I was going to say surprised it's not enforced up there. I can see why it would be frowned upon. You get 2 opposite sided jerks mouthing off in the polling place etc....

Yep. Poilievre was far ahead in the polls until Trump started with the 51st State crap. Gave the Liberals an "out".
