My ev stopped charging in this negative double digit weather, probably need to reset codes once it warms up
But at least it still drives because phev gas engine, but man the mpg of the gas engine seems to be about 12 at this temp

I would think that most people do not use electric heating in canada.. Would not make sense as this is the most inefficient way of heating. I grew up in Austria and virtually every house is heated by natural gas.

The fact it is being requesting at first as a mandate tells us they have grid problems.
An easy conclusion is that enough homeowners use an alternative source for heating their homes.
Very sad if some die because evS are stealing the power supply.

Liberalism has ****ed up their grid just like in some blue states here..
There is a solution and it's NUCLEAR POWER. We need more of it.

If EV's are a problem, then CENTRAL AC systems are as well. Here in Florida, the average EV consumes a lot less power every day than the Central AC system.

My Electric consumption in winter is like 50 kwh per day in winter and 100 kwh per day in summer.. 50 kwh per day for AC. The average EV uses 10 to 20 kwh in a day. Did the grid collapse when people started to have CENTRAL AC? Nope! The grid grew at the same rate as AC systems were installed.
