Here's one I came across last week while out cruising, picking up chicks in my homebuilt.

Anyway it turns out its a US conundrum; you mean we don't have standard protocols for detection and interdiction of incursions into US air space by....well.....ANYthing?

And don't tell me all of these weren't detected, there is an intelligence site in Shemya, AK in the Aleutian Islands where I had buddies stationed years ago not counting NORAD who track things "in inches and ounces".

These balloons or whatever should have been quietly shot down, with bullets, dismantled and studied without all the hoopla and speculation as to their purpose by people like Whoopi Goldberg.

Yup. The political class, everywhere and at any time, knows that military action will always bring "the masses" to their side, and that they can lie with impunity and will be believed.

The true story here is why they were ignored completely and nothing said about this time, or the times during the Trump administration UNTIL someone on the ground spotted them and made it an issue. Now all of a sudden we are scrambling and shoot shit left and right.

The one shot down came across Alaska...no action....across Canada...no action...across the US...no action. As it is exiting, it's shot.

Now scale this down to everyday life. A guy climbs the neighbor's fence...nothing...he climbs your fence....nothing...he walks around the entire perimeter of your house looking in the windows...as soon as he leaves your yard...you shoot him.

I think some of the targets have been well above the operational ceiling of planes like that.
