the concern is if someone might get injured... and then sues the helicopter pilot - helicopter mfgr - God (for creating the lake); even though everyone involved probably already knew it was risky.

As long as lawsuits are banned when people take risks like this... I too wouldn't care.

Every lawsuit - ends up adding to the cost of something. So, even a lawsuit that has no merit - and would get dismissed - still ends up co$ting us all..

That part right there - needs to stop. If legislation would be enacted that makes the loser in a law suit - pay for the others expenses... I think it would completely change things around and stop a lot of this frivolous suing.

This is why you don't want to say "let them sue; they're sure to lose"; because the way things are currently - the loss is not limited to those that tried & failed to hit a legal jackpot.

I really don't care about the people in the helo or the pilot-but, a broken rotor can fly quite a distance. That might be a pretty good reason.

There were a lot of boats that couldn't pass because of the "activities" going on. Boats that were not involved in the hoopla, but were within striking distance of a helicopter crash.
