Silverlight sucks.............!

I've got a few emails and none of them requires something to see pics sent to me EXCEPT hotmail (microsoft, dah!) It says I need silverlight, so I install it and now every time I try to view a pic I get, it says "acivate silverlight" .....so i hit that and it locks up my screen every time. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it with the same result??????
It's frustrating because I can see the pic in the mail. It's already there.

Damn you Microsoft Win 8!

......could Ad Blocker have something to do with it? I've looked at all the options and there's no allow or block this piece of crap software.

If you are accessing Hotmail via web page (as opposed to a standalone email client), what browser are you using?

If Firefox or Chrome, just a test, try using IE to see if it works correctly, or does anything different in that. The "activate" prompt suggests it may be a plugin issue, and if so, should be browser-specific.

Thanks for that answer. I'm using Firfox so that may have something to do with it. Thing is....it used to work. Now I have to download the pic and go into my pic file to open it to full size. PITA.
I get the activate prompt and when I hit it it's red and then turns to....GONE, like it's working, so I wait and ....nothing. I'll try a different browser.

AND, to make it worse...when I tried to download Silverlight to get it to work, it tacked on that P.O.S. BING and MSN network as my startup page. I hate that shit.

Microsoft just updated Silverlight. Maybe that will fix your problem.
