Default i done yaddied up

took me normal shower this morning at five am, got ready then went downstairs and had coffee, then started working. this afternoon around 4 ish pm, i went upstairs to take a hot shower to help get rid of a headache. upon walking in the bathroom I found the shower still running from this morning. hopefully my neighbor's water meter reading wont make it too obvious. I wonder how much water I used?

<anjdog> thx. <flangedog> you are welcome.

<Raazor> thanks <egnalf> no one asked you.

That reminds me of a true story: One of my best friends from college, his family owned a fabrication business. One day in the middle of winter, it was snowing when they all got to work, and kept snowing all day. Management decided at about 3 pm, that they were closing early due to the weather, and everyone can go home. One of the admins asked my buddy if he could help her get out of the parking lot, because she had locked her keys in the car when she got to work in the morning. He agrees.

They get to the parking lot, where everyone was busy clearing snow off their cars, and there is one car at the back of the lot with hardly a flake on it. It was the admin's car, she locked the keys in it with the engine running. No sooner does my buddy get the door open, when the car sputters and dies, out of gas.

I should call my buddy, and ask him if the woman's husband called her "baby doll".

11 hrs @ 60 min./hr (except in Canada, probably)= ~660 minutes

Assuming your shower head is the low flow variety they've been installing for a quarter century or more, say ~ 2.5 gal/min.

2.5 gal/min. x 660 minutes = ~ 1,650 gallons of water used, more if you have a higher flowing shower head.

There are kids in China that don't have enough water to drink, and here you are wasting water on two showers a day plus just letting it run.

You should feel bad.

Assuming 100 gallons an hour for ten plus hours, it's going to leave a mark. The good news, my 80 gallon gas water heater still had it flowing warm.

Haven't done that one yet but if I got a refund on all the natural gas I've wasted because I fell asleep waiting for something to cook I'd be a rich man.

You're a baller so you won't feel any impact other than psychological.
