Liz's algebra thread reminded me, I have a confession to make

I cheated in college. Well, maybe that's a little inaccurate. I cheated to get into college. I took the basic classes I needed to get my first AAS, but needed a higher math to get into a four year college. Problem was, I couldn't pass the entrance exam to qualify for Math 120 or higher. They kept telling me I was only good for Math 97, fkn high school math. I hadn't taken a math class since high school almost twenty years ago. But the college was cool with unofficial transcripts from other colleges so I modified my unofficial 'scripts from the other college showing I had Math something or other to satisfy their requirement. They let me sign up for the class, took my money, and I passed Math 124 with a 92%.
Never quite understood the logic there. I suppose it's about class size and teacher load. But who's really hot for a math class they probably can't pass? My thinking was (is) let me sign up for it. If I can't pass it, you still get to keep my money. Not like there's any refunds.
The truth is out there. I feel better now.

I'm headed back to vegas soon so it looks like I'm going to have to kick your ass for that, somebody has to watch over your miserable ass, then we can hit the buffet at the MGM Grand.

I stole scotch tape from a store
I was in 4th grade, and it was my mom and dads store. I was too much of a wuss to steal from a different store in case I got caught.

I cheated in FORTRAN in my Freshman year of college. Oh the irony.

See, that's the funny thing. I have never actually cheated in a class, well there was that one time, but I digress. I "cheated", if you can call it that, to get into the class. Stupid college.
I have never been very good at math. Doesn't help that I really struggled with dyslexia when I was younger. But this class was pretty easy, except that the instructor sucked. He couldn't work the problems himself. Man could work the same problem three different times and come up with three different answers.

I even remember the teacher's name, Mr. Cuthbertson, he could explain it a hundred different ways and only the oriental geniuses could figure it out.

I had sex with my cousin... I didn't know she was my cousin at the time, I didn't find out until the next day. I sure felt guilty about it... then I realized that I was from the South so cousin porking is part of my cultural heritage.

I had a good friend in the 80s who said the only way he got his college degree was to hack into the college's computer system and change his grades.

Since his degree was in computer science, I guess that was okay.

He has had a very successful career with IBM.
