As the last week or so has shown, when things turn to crap, and .gov shuts down your place of work, and thus your income stream, people panic, stocks crash, and the thought was

As many tried to sell Gold to raise cash to pay bills, they found a truism: when everyone is selling, no one is buying, and thus, the price will also crater.

May want to rethink that idea going forward.

1st time I've shot a gun in at least 20 years. That's one box on a Sig 320 and one box on a single action S&W. The Sig was all over the place, the Smith had the good grouping. The head shots were 3 yards, the rest were with the target touching the sand backstop, so I guess something over 15 yards. Texas requires 3, 7, and 15 yard shots for the CCW class, which I signed up for this weekend.

The bad part is, ammo is in short supply, with panic buying. I'll probably go one more time and shoot a couple of boxes, to make sure I don't flunk out of the class, then save the rest until the panic subsides.

i only know what i read, and the article notes that spot gold price was way down lately.

In times like this, spot means nothing.
Apmex is one the largest online dealers and nothing, Nada and zip.
Silver is even more scarce to purchase.

Damn! I usually buy a tube of silver eagles to give out as Christmas presents for my friends' kids. The place I buy from is sold out, and the last price they gave was lower than what I have paid.
