Dallas Police HQ Attacked By 4 With Guns & Bombs

Wow! This is wild.
The HQ on Lamaar Street was shot at and 4 bombs were found, two of which went off. One on it's own and one was detonated by a bomb squad robot.
Now the four are held up at a Jack In The Box where they had another shoot out with the police.

They seemed to be prepared when it first went down at the station at 12:30 am and now they're ready for war.

1 main Suspect identified.

"The suspect has told our negotiators that we took his child and we accused him of being a terrorist and that he's going to blow us up," Chief Brown said.

The suspect told police his name is James Boulware, police said that was the name given but that they have not confirmed the man is who he says he is.

The gunman also said he had explosives in the van, which appeared to be outfitted with gun ports in the sides.

No injuries have been reported, according to Dallas police Maj. Max Geron.

Sounds like the guy has a specific grievance with DPD. News reporting the shooter says DPD took his kid away from him. I guess the only bright spot in all this is that it doesn't appear to be part of the fomenting War on Police, spurred by Ferguson, Baltimore, etc.

It appears the guy was a flaming liberal - following MSNBC, Anderson Cooper, CNN etc. in social profiles.

Also, the press conference seemed really strange - they knew EVERYTHING about this guy within minutes of the attack - plus, the fire alarms were pulled at the police station before the van drove up (video shows the emergency lights flashing in the building).

Nobody was shot - except the gunman. Even the bombs were placed in areas where there were no people (parking lot)

Makes me go "hmmmmm...."

I was just talking about this this morning with a friend of mine. That trespassing resisting arrest teenager is a clear example, then this attack lats night. Tougher/darker times are coming, and it really doesn't seem like anybody is doing anything to dismantle the social bomb that seems to be ticking down. Yet we keep giving TV and Media coverage only to those that are there to pour fuel on the fire.

I think two things would help.

One is body cams for sure, but I also think that we need to go back to the Adam-12 model of two cops in every car. It offers some amount of "checks and balance" and reduces the officers intimidation level when he has to manage a group of people as opposed to one on many.
