One of the few reasons I kept cable TV. NBC coverage will suck for F1. Probably time delayed and only highlight coverage. I enjoyed having a dedicated channel for motorsports. I enjoyed having a dedicated channel for current weather. When NBC took over the Weather channel I pretty much stopped watching. What is wrong with having dedicated subject channels ? Instead of this blend-o-matic format they are going to nowadays.

The loss of F-1 will suck, but Speed Channel always sucked anyway. WGAFF if Denny Hamlin had a baby?, or WGAFF if Kyle Bush's wife is a personal trainer, and trains him?...
I'll generally just watch the race, the minute it starts, and skip all of the BS fluff. Hopefully someone will pick up F-1, and the world will be right again...

By August 1st, it will be gone. But there already is a replacement. Check your listings for the Velocity Channel, and if it isn't currently offered, call your cable provider and ask for it.

Speed Channel was good in the early days. Even shows like Shadetree Mechanic. They ACTUALLY showed you how to do things - rebuild a front end, tune an engine (timing and carb details), etc...then it morphed into shows about every boring detail about NASCAR people.

I wonder what kind of hit Barrett-Jackson will take with no live coverage ?

That's a good channel. I like Wheeler Dealers and World Rally Championship coverage.

Is Velocity the one that has the Mecum auction ? Maybe it's a good thing. If I keep cable, I can drop it to the VERY basic of channels. I had to select a higher tier pkg. to get Speed.

Me too, but the Military Channel disappears too if you go to the lower package...They know what they're doing... That's why I switched to DISH.

F1 kicks off in a week and a half and I tried looking for NBC Sports programming schedule for what will and won't be televised yesterday and I couldn't find shit except for the race. I couldn't find anything for practice or qualifying
