Electrolytic caps are normally silver, aluminum outside casings.....brown phenalic where the connections come through......used to filter out the a/c pulses that are removed by the rectum flyer.....like in a 1/2 wave power supply, and a full wave supply has 4 diodes and to needs less cap value to do the equivalent filtering which depends on the loading.....

other caps are many colors and styles.....depends on the material they made of.....orange, tan, brown, for the most part.....

some caps are just so small, they are ceramic mainly tan in color.....
