Default Crosman 760 BB Gun.

“You’re gonna shoot your eye out!”

Couple squirrels chomped a hole in my soffit….Got into the attic…..

I ran over to Tractor supply and bought a cheap BB Gun. First shot got one!

One more to go….Then I’ll fix the trim…..

I had a massive tree rat issue at a house... I used pellets so they didn't break windows via ricochet.
I'd go out for a bit every morning, weekends were get my quota days.
Dogs loved it.

I use a Beeman R1. 40 pounds to cock it, but it leaves exit wounds.

I tried to run over one a few minutes ago. That little joker ran fast when I blew the horn at him. 🐿️

I live rural and prefer to use my Ruger 7722 on those rats. I have also used my 20 Gauge Citori with skeet load (#9 shot) and got one last year with my .38 carry gun!

Me and them have an agreement. They have yet to break the truce. 40 foot DMZ. Everything outside DMZ is fair game for the squirrels.

We have those weird black Albert's squirrels. They do not like people at all.

We have red squirrels here. Some of the locals call then "boomers", and I have no idea why. Smaller than a grey squirrel, some got into my inaccessible attic space. I had to hire a wildlife pro to get them out- cost me over $1200. He sealed up the "builder's void" and haven't had a problem up there since.

Mice, however, got into the plumbing of my old hot tub and chewed a hole in the plumbing that I could not locate.

I do have an owl that nests nearby and he's seemed to take care of the problem.

Not bragging….. but once when I was young, I shot 2 birds with one BB. They were standing side by side on a limb. The tumbled simultaneously to the ground. I’m a pretty good shot.

Always had a bait pile for squirrel at the base of a huge tree when I lived in the big city. Got some real monsters out the back door. Made some fantastic stews.

Didn't use a pellet gun. The sound of a single gunshot is not easy to locate because of echoes and being caught off-guard. Learned this hunting, only works with one shot though, a second shot can pinpoint the location

Like Zip, I thought me and the squirrels had an agreement….. They tried living in our attic years ago…. I either shot them or killed them with poison. No problem for a very long time, til now… So before they bundle down for winter I’m taking them out! Go live in the woods a 100’ away no problem.

I purchased the Gamo Whisper

I got the .177 and a couple extra 10 round magazines. It's a break barrel and only shoots pellets.

It's quite effective

Yep. They seem much wilder than the brown and red squirrels we had back east that would literally come up on the deck when I was on it. These guys scatter when I come out on the upper deck and they're just cleaning up the bird area. Squirrels back east used to **** with our tomatoes as well.

I still have my 760 in my safe. I always wanted to get a real pellet gun. I know that there are some insane air guns out there now; not interested. Always liked the Diana break-barrels. Still like them in 4.5mm (.177) vs. 5.5mm (.22) as .177 does the job of a pellet gun. If I want larger, I have other options.
