Appliances age and reliability.....

I remember being in the TV/electronic/Appliance business shop manager in the 70's and so the owner had a non functioning refrigerator on the sales floor....coil up top and so forth as a fun thing at that time it was about 40 years old.......

SO on our vacation trip up north and seeing an ages old friend there HE had a operating fridge with coils/etc up top of it.....OEM from early 30's and still operating.....cold beer inside.....serious....owner said 1936 was date made.....

then I had a room window a/c unit from the 50's yet, it was the unit I took to Tejas for a/c in a apt. I rented...took it back to DC region...

and so it's in my stepson's home now.....still chilly.....go figger....
