I checked into borrowing a small mount of money from bank once to buy a lawn mower. No go. They have a minimum cutoff. They didn't say exactly but I got the feeling it's at least a few thousand, probably more like 4-5k.
They want to make money off the interest. Probably not worth the time it takes to write up the paperwork, or they simply figure anyone who wants to borrow a small amount is a big risk. There's "payday advance" places that loan small amounts. Pretty sure the interest rate is insane. You can probably find them in the ghetto next to any pawn shop, or wherever drug addicts congregate. |
