did this today. Big green tomatoes, soaked in buttermilk, coated with panko crumbs, salt, pepper and onion powder, baked 35 minutes, Damn good and not fried.

I did them at 400. I omitted an important thing. Place them on a cookie cooling rack while cooking.
they are crunchy. |
