Default A/C impossible.....but true.....
Back in the early 50's my parents bought two Admiral window a/c units.....for the 3 of us in the upstairs bedrooms.....the one for them, still is running FINE in a trailer down here in FLORIDUH only been 70 years now......and STILL WORKING......sure it sat for some 2 decades in my folks newer house they moved to, and one of the units survived a trip to Texas with me for a year.....

and about 20 years ago I brought it to wife's old home for her kids to use.....and it's still working.......go figger.....watt are the odds???

I just imagine the amount of money I've saved over the last 50 years by not owning one. Heck, I could buy a brand new Z06... If I wanted one. Kinda do, but never been on a waiting list, and I'm not about to start now.

In 2020, I replaced my Central AC system. It was fixable (air handle fan needed to be replaced) but I opted to get a new AC system. Air handler was from 1988 when the house was built and condenser was from 2000.
