Default Z-50 Honda Mini Trails.........

I can pick up a pair of these little guys for a couple hundred bucks. One is a Z50 and the other is a bigger 70 model. the little one needs forks or straightening out anyway. and the bigger one has the wrong forks from a Z50! Are these worth restoring?

sorry about the copier quality pic......

Doubt it, but those Trail 70's started many a youngster on the path to motorcycling. Myself included.

Mine was an ATC 70. It's where I learned to turn wrenches.

I have seen some with a 100% restoration sell anywhere from $1200 - $2500. It all depends on the level of restoration you want to put in them.

If the Z50 runs, and you can get it for a couple bills, snatch it up because just a running one in decent shape will cost ya $750. Hell, you can part the thing out and still come out ahead.

What year is that Z50? I am in need of few parts

My younger brother had a new one in around '69, red and grey tank. I'm also waiting to hear from a doctor with a really nice one with a blown motor. I may end up with a few parts in the end.

I have a '69 as well.

One of the hard parts to find is the original seats. It has a split seam straight down the back of the seat with Honda printed on the back.

Total originality isn't big on my list, just close and as functional as I can get. I was just checking out CHP Motorsports in Texas, they seem to have tons of stuff. I see they even make clone Z50s now out of China. Look exactly the same!

There was a dude in the C1/C2 section of CF that restored them. Can't remember his name...if you want to search around for him.

My younger brother and I had a CT-70 Trail. Fun as all get-out to ride. Guess it's what got him bit by the bike bug as he now rides a Ninja® 1000.
