Default Sitting in the Er
With my son and wife, he fell and split his brow open and needs a few stitches. So, the er is fairly empty, seats everywhere, and these 6 heffalumps, an entire family come in and take the 6 seats beside us, and 4 of them have fish sandwiches and onion rings from the deli. As if they did not smell bad enough, the food was horrid. They all brought one kid in that is running around like a maniac and has a nick on his forehead, hardly a scratch!
I'm sure we looked like snobs, but we got up and moved. End of rant!!

I try to plan my ER trips. The last time I was in there, I broke my foot on a Saturday night around 10:00 pm. I waited until 9:00 the next morning to avoid the wait. My plan worked flawlessly until some asshole with a nail shot into his hand showed up. Bastard.


I understand you can't really work around an open wound. I hope the lil guy is ok, Chad.

I had the same situation when I was in the ER for chest pains.
There was 2 women(very large women) 3 girls(very large girls) between 10-16.
All were at least 200lbs and they were eating 2 boxes of donuts in the waiting area.
After 4 hours 1 of them left and came back with 2 buckets of KFC for them all to eat.
It was disgusting.

There are signs posted everywhere that no one is allowed to eat in the area and only water or juice is allowed.
Security actually went over to them and told them if they didn't get rid of the food they would have to leave.
They left.
