Australia is a strange dichotomy. On the one hand, their journalists are some of the last remaining news sources with any semblance of journalistic integrity (with another being - shockingly - Al Jazeera). But on the other hand their government is one of the more oppressive Democracies in the entire Western world.

The mind boggles.
