DMV Registration July 2011
The Ghost's registration expires in July and I have not received my renewal. I called DMV today and he told me that no-one with an expiration for the month of July has not received the notice because the state has not pass a budget yet and it dont know what to charge the citizens yet.
These are the ass holes that promised us to make things better. |

I just had to register 2 of our cars and the website said that some new law passed where they will now send the bill the day the registration is due and you have 30 days to pay it and cops supposedly won't pull you over for 60 days.
But...now we know the truth. Good job Pete! |

By law they aren't supposed to be able to continue the sales tax increase or the higher VLF for the car reg without a popular vote by the people, but I think they are going to let those expire and try to bring in new temp fees of some sort. They don't want to let anybody off the hook for July rego's. I got my DD due in July and it was only going to be $200 or so down from $375.
I purposely bought that car after July last year so the renewal would be at the reduced rate. Brown is an idiot. Arnold knew that waiting for his second term to screw with those taxes was his plan. Nobody would actually vote for these taxes to become permanent...it hits too close to home. Why don't they cut entitlements and try to bust the states employee union (never happen)? |

These were temporary taxes to get the state back on track under Arnie, but yet again, we got fvcked. Brown is an idiot. He wants them for 5 more years, and we all know that in 5 more years, they become permanent. |

Imagine us making a SMOG law. Do you think that by any minute we would ban long tube headers?
This is going to ruin my plan. You see, as long Im military, Im exempt from the DMV fees and my plan was to register the Ghost and Betty Boop before July 31st. I qualify for military exemption and DMV always (100%) ask for military ID and check for the End of Active Service Date (EAS). Betty Boop expires in Sep but, they used to mail registrations 70-90 days out. When does Frankestein's registration expires? |

This illegal WB woman gave birth to her son here. Now she's is trying to convince the Dr. to diagnose her son disable for her to get social security. How do I know this? I know her, thru her uncle. Now she has three kids and does not work. Why? Because She already receives money from the government. She is not American and never paid a cent of taxes in her life. They need to fix that law, if you are illegal so is your unborn baby. The economy is going to collapse, they raise prices on everything, now DMV fees will go up. The funniest I see is soda and cereal. I know you guys seen them; the soda now also comes in 16 oz. bottles for the price we used to pay for the 20 oz. bottles. Cereal price also went up but, the box of cereal are smaller/less ounces. What's next, to sell gas by the liters? Today, Chevron is at $4.05 so by liters would be $1.07 liter but $1.07 doesnt look cool, lets make it an even $1.099. Those two~three pennies makes a difference to you guys with a 30-50 gal truck. This is the reason we see less traffic, places closing down, less RVs on the road, more car pools etc. |

It may be too late, once the voting population gets out of balance (tax payers vs non tax payers or benfit recipients) the officials get voted in that are sympathetic to the poor or non working. The government is sympathetic to illegals, poor working, non tax payers or even tax payers whos income benifits from government handouts and are spending the money of the working population way faster than it can possibly be made.

Just glad I live in Utah and not California......
Just renewed the Vette by taking advantage of the dealership I bought it at. Went in at 9:00 AM, they safety inspected and emission tested it, printed the new registration and put the new tag sticker on it and all I did was pay them the $155 taxes for the year. I was out at 9:20 AM. |

My BIL used to brag that he only pays $25 a year to register ANY car but after lookiing into it (we were going to move there) you have to pay 'annual property tax on your cars, boats, bikes along with your house. In Cali, I pay $10 to register my boat and it's good for 2 years. Annually I recieve a 'luxery tax' bill for 1% of the value of the boat. $375 the 1st year, but now it's down to around $180. |

VLF (vehicle lic fee)= property tax. The actual reg fee is only about $50 per year.
That said, I know I only paid $3500 for my old 95 LT1 car...then I used the other $3500 to buy the engine and tires under the table, lol. never buy used cars at a dealership, they have to write it up for the full amount. |

Very well actually, they send me a bill and I pay it. It's based on the car's value. Their explanation;
The state calculates your registration renewal taxes and fees based on a number of factors, including the year and type of car, which county you live in, and the type of fuel your vehicle uses. Your renewal notice makes it easy for you, however, because it lists the specific fees and taxes for your vehicle and a total amount due at renewal. I actually think there's a monkey in back throwing darts a a dartboard. Last edited by Taurus; 06-23-2011 at 8:24pm. |
